"Earth has no sorrow that earth cannot heal." ~ John Muir
I mentioned yesterday that I'd really needed this, to be out here. Those of you who follow me on Facebook might have seen my post a few days ago mentioning my current bout with depression. It comes and it goes, but it will always be there. I've been coping with a strong wave of it for several months now, and the cause remains unresolved. And with Christmas right around the corner- which guarantees another wave- even if this one stops tomorrow, the next will be coming. Getting out here helped a bit.
Muir was right: "in every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks."

William, I am glad that you are getting out and about and that it is helping you. Your photos are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am not on Facebook but I am aware that you struggle with depression. I totally understand, because I do as well.
I sincerely hope that you will find solace and relief in your walks in nature and the photos you take and share here on your blog.
Thank you so much for being here and please know that you are in my thoughts.
Nature is indeed a great healer!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous views and landscapes! Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
ReplyDeleteWilliam, I wish you the best, take care and be well. "Earth has no sorrow that earth cannot heal." John Muir is right, the nature and the earth soothes my soul.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo ~ nature is an elixir ~ sending lots of healing energy hugs ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteNature is good for helping one to heal. Best wishes, William.
ReplyDeleteLovely fall landscapes.
ReplyDeleteLate autumn and winter here are a challenge. Shorter days, darker weather spark my depression. I agree getting outdoors helps, it’s a bit why I started hobby photography.
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you and your fight with depression. These are awesome photos.
ReplyDeleteFortunately, I do not suffer from depression myself, but I am well aware of the positive and healing effect that spending time in nature can have. That is why I spend as much time there as I can.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best for the time ahead.
I totally understand, William. If it makes you feel any better, the last week or so has been rough on me, too. Elevated anxiety level and a soupcon of depression, oh joy. So I'm right there with you. These photos are really beautiful! I know that getting outside even if only for a few minutes really helps. Hugs to you.
