The next diorama includes a bat at upper left, while a shrew is working on its prey, a mouse on the ground.
A panel looks at the tendency of some mammals to migrate.
Such as the caribou, who are featured in the next diorama.
A display case features a skunk.
While its neighbour is the porcupine.
Across from these two are small diorama cases, each featuring an animal in their surroundings.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteThe caribou are beautiful critters! Take care, enjoy your day and have a great week!
They are impressive.
DeleteThe dioramas must be fascinating to watch!
ReplyDeleteThey are.
DeleteThe Swedish word for bat is a good one. Fladdermus.
ReplyDeleteI think I've heard that.
DeleteI like the caribou display. I encountered a large herd of caribou across the road when I was in Newfoundland some years ago.... Had to stop the car to let them pass, and one naughty caribou kept walking in front of the car, couldn't get round him!
ReplyDeleteBest to just let them pass by.
DeleteThe caribou are wonderful, William.
ReplyDeleteThey are.
DeleteIn the old days caribou were crucial to aboriginal survival. Now not so much. The people gave me caribou every time they hunted.
ReplyDeleteI imagine similar to Moose in taste.
DeleteHow is the canal this week?
ReplyDeleteStill open, and it looks like the forecast will keep it that way. I plan on a couple of more walks.
DeleteWonderful exhibit ~ favorite are the caribou ~ thanks,
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days ~
