An Act Of Balancing

Kaylie Kreatix is a multi-disciplinary busker from Quebec, who combines acrobatics, props, and sword play as part of her act. I came by early, as she was working with a young volunteer from the audience.

She used a stick, with his shoe on the top end, and balanced it on her chin. You try that.

And then things got more complicated, adding a sword onto the stick. More from her act tomorrow.

Acrobatic Workout

I continue on today with more of Spring Action at Buskerfest.

Great timing with this shot- he was just sliding into the coils along the sides- quite deliberately, though meant to look like a pratfall. He must wear a cup, to put it gently. This act was a delight. We'll go down the street tomorrow for another act.

Jumping Around

It was a lot of fun to watch this group in action. They are a regular at Buskerfest.

With the boys largely done, it's time for their parents to get to work. She's an Olympian at this game, and he plays the fool, goofing around and doing pratfalls along the way.

Aerial Trickery

I headed to Sparks Street itself, where another act was getting underway. Spring Action is a local group, a husband and wife and their sons, working on the trampoline and injecting comedy into the works. It starts with the sons, doing some high flying and making it look easy.
