Peace And Quiet On A Path

The park had few visitors on the morning I passed through, which suits me fine.

I crossed over the road to the lakeside. Across on the western shore is the Arboretum, consisting of a multitude of trees, technically part of the Experimental Farm.

A squirrel was busy at work in the grass, looking for acorns it had buried and subsequently forgotten.

My journey was near its end. As mentioned the other day, this visit was my last taken for formal autumn photos, but I still have more autumn posts over the coming days.

A Ramble Through The Park

 More today from Commissioners Park.

A glimpse of Dow's Lake can be seen at a distance. Commissioners Park curls around the north and east side of the lake, which is a reservoir for the Rideau Canal.

This tree in the front garden across from the park caught my eye.

A Visit To Commissioners Park

Commissioners Park is a short walk from home for me, and I went down one day late in October for what would be my last formal shots of autumn colours. This is across the street from the park, where on this government property, these two trees caught my eye.

I headed into the park.

The flowerbeds have been dug up, with tulips planted. The last stage is to put snow fences around the flowerbeds for the winter, some of which had been done.

We will carry on here tomorrow.

City Daily Photo Theme Day: Happy

The first day of each month is a theme day for members of City Daily Photo. This month, that theme is Happy. Check out other interpretations right here.

Happy is not something I can be, especially these days when I'm dealing with such a strong wave of depression. I thought this would be a tough one- until I pivoted and thought of subject matter that makes my readers happy. The Tulip Festival.

On Victoria Day in May, I went to Commissioners Park to take some shots specifically for this post.

This dog looked happy.
