A Splash Of Colours

More today from Commissioners Park with the dazzling beds of tulips.

Across from the main path to the west are several standalone beds, which tend to bloom first.

Back along the main path. We'll pick up here tomorrow.

The Flow Of Tulips

The planting of these tulip beds have the effect of a river, with colourful flowers flowing among bushes and the grass of the park.

Off beyond the formal beds, a tulip with a colour out of place- the work of industrious squirrel gardeners, perhaps?

On The Pathway

 We continue on with more of the tulips.

On the slope behind this particular bed, white tulips can be found in the shade. These are the provincial flower of Ontario.

The path led me on.

Tulip Paparazzi

 Carrying on where I left off yesterday, more tulip colours for you.

Tulips have gradually worked their way into the rose bushes behind the formal beds, a clear case of the rare migrating tulip. The rose bushes are cut back in the fall and begin their growing season as summer comes along.

I close off today with an example of homo sapiens tulipa paparazzi, otherwise known as the tulip paparazzi, of which I am one.

Shining Colour

 The tulips were really showing off during this visit.

Nearby in the grass, daffodils were growing on their own.
