A reminder to members of City Daily Photo: the theme day for July is Flea Markets.
Just up slope from where I left off yesterday, some tulips grow in this bed among other plants.
The west pathway of Major's Hill park has some planters. Tulips were present and accounted for.
The view includes the Ottawa River and Gatineau on the far shore.
Towards the south end of the park, more tulips in larger beds.
Parliament Hill can be glimpsed through the trees in the background here. At the far end- the statue of Colonel By.
A good spot to end this visit- John By, surrounded by tulips.
Lt Col John By was a handsome devil but what did he do to earn him the statue?
