 Another look at the 3D scanned mine today.

Here we have a Smart Car, reduced down to its components.

We shift into recreation, with items like a canoe and a very old car.

A relatively newer car, with a camping trailer.

And bicycles.

Snowmobiles have changed over time, becoming more streamlined.

Snowshoes have been used by indigenous peoples for thousands of years to cross over snow. They endure today, but mostly for recreational use.

Suburb

 A series of refrigerators down through time.

In the 1960s, the VW Beetle became very popular in suburbia.

More changes in time- tending your property.

These are relatively contemporary, being a decade and a half in age. They are easy bake ovens for kids.

An older dishwasher.

And an early VHS VCR.

The iMac from Apple, first generation.

And here we see the Roomba, which cleans your floors and serves as a moving throne for your cat to survey their kingdom.

A washer and dryer in one. I've only seen separate washers and dryers.

A throwback further to the past. An electric washer, but you'd still be doing half the job by hand.

The Museum has a stage area for practical demonstrations during the day. On this particular day the subject was the practical application of fire in science. The seating was filled.

Within Artifact Alley

 Continuing where I left off yesterday, more inside Artifact Alley.

This is a boundary marker.

Some old fashioned tools are seen here.

Here we have an amphicar, a unique vehicle capable of going into the water.

Steamships and sail ships are represented here in model form.

The bikes overhead caught my eye.

Mounted above, a very old computer console and a robotic arm.

While below them is an electron microscope dating to the 1950s.

Relics of another time- models of satellites and missiles. The time of the Cold War.

Classic Automobiles And A Crowd

 On occasion, Lansdowne Park hosts an organized gathering of cars- some of whom are sports cars, others classics. These tend to be the sort that are taken care of by their owners, as opposed to the sort who randomly drive in groups across cities taking photos of themselves with their cars. I stopped by one August evening when this event was underway.

This sort of event does draw a crowd.

And owners are around to take questions.

I'm more interested in classic cars, like this one.

This last one, an Allard, was a show stopper.
