There is an infrastructure project going on around some buildings at Sparks Street, Metcalfe Street, and Wellington Street downtown. Here on Sparks, the construction siding has had a cheerful theme, with multiple Canadian animals depicted, some of whom have rather human expressions, or wearing human items. My favourite is the lynx, which also seems to have the most natural pose.

Balloon Tricks And Expressiveness
Picking up where I left off yesterday, here's more of Fraser Hooper at work at Buskerfest.
I couldn't stay for the whole act, but took some extra shots before I went.

Assistance From The Audience
Fraser Hooper tends to bring in audience members to help him out, and in the first half of his act, that tends to be kids (no kids in the boxing grand finale, which I've seen him do before).
He started blowing up balloons. One by one. And placing them on his assistant.

Chaplinesque Performer
The last act I was able to see was Fraser Hooper, a New Zealand based busker whose act includes acrobatics, street clown, and boxing. He is uproariously funny, though largely quiet, and one sees a lot of Chaplin inspiration in him. He was at the World Exchange Plaza when I came across him, just getting things set up.
I noticed the person walking the dog in the background, and wondered what the dog might be thinking of all this.
Some close ups as he continued his set up. He has a wonderfully expressive face.

Playfight With Swords
Kaylie's act was quite a delight to watch.
Now it was time to bring in some adult volunteers.
She armed them with foam swords and got to work warming them up.
It is quite a pleasure to see a busker at work like this.
