Here we continue where we left off yesterday.
I like the look of this tree.
A series of panels looks at the Netherlands.
And in particular the bonds of friendship, culture, and history between the Netherlands and Canada. We collaborate together in engineering, architecture, military, economics, and more. It is the strongest friendship between countries that I can think of.
This of course comes from the work our military did in liberating the Netherlands during the Second World War. The Dutch loved them for it, and the feeling was mutual.
Dutch immigration into Canada followed that war. My own family comes from that story.
And there's the personal connection- the Crown Princess Juliana staying here in Ottawa with her daughters during that war, and the birth of one of them here, Princess Margriet. Yet another strong bond between friends.
I love the Dutch panels and that tree 🌳 is beautiful.

DeleteIt's so nice to see friendship between countries, while living through the horrors of our president's extremist tariffs to antagonize the rest of the world (and his own citizens too!)
