Boughs Of Holly

More from the Chateau Laurier today, with its many Christmas trees.

The tree on the right above featured a number of these little houses hung onto it.

I continued on.

The building was opened in 1912, and features ghost stories. Its founder was a railroad baron, Charles Melville Hays, who was returning by sea from Europe with his family and a large shipment of furnishings and antiques for the hotel's opening. Their ship was Titanic, and Hays was among those who died in the sinking. It's said that his ghost is one of the spirits haunting the halls.
