Today I'm closing out the bird gallery at the Museum of Nature from my February visit.
The provinces and territories of Canada each have an official bird, displayed together in several cases.
And here is the last set. Tomorrow we carry on with the visit.
I like the way they have been grouped and displayed.
ReplyDeleteYou can tell a lot more from an exhibit than from a book.
ReplyDeleteEstou a gostar desta visita ao museu.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e um bom 1º de Maio.

ReplyDeleteWow your past few posts about the bird gallery are quite impressive! Beautifully displayed and sucha a wide variety.
ReplyDeleteHello, beautiful birds and exhibit. Take care, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteClosing your visit to the bird gallery? Shame on you! I figured you would be there for at least a year!
ReplyDeleteVery wonderful display of the birds.
ReplyDeleteDid they say how these birds were collected ?
Stay safe and be well.

Looking forward to tomorrow, but I've enjoyed the bird gallery too!
ReplyDeleteLots of interesting opportunities to study them. Usually, if we have a bird fly into the window I try to take photos. I was taking them to my First Nations friend, whe's of the bird clan, and she'd do a smudging over them. Hubby got tired of me storing them in the freezer, though!
ReplyDeleteAs a birder , I've enjoyed this series.
ReplyDeleteThis has been a good series, William.
ReplyDeleteVery nice series, I enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, William.

The one with the spread wings and the owl, both are quite beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI especially like the owls!
ReplyDelete@Fun60: as do I.
ReplyDelete@Linda: true.
@Francisco: thanks!
@Tom: that's true.
@Susie: thanks.
@Eileen: thanks!
@David: more to see.
@Parsnip: I imagine they're natural deaths, or bird strikes into windows. It's frowned upon these days to shoot birds for collecting. I'm reading a book at the moment in which the opposite was the case.
@Barbara: thank you!
@Jennifer: I can see that.
@Red: I've enjoyed showing it.
ReplyDelete@RedPat: thank you.
@Bill: you're welcome.
@Iris: definitely.
@Karl: thank you.
@Marleen: indeed.
@Maywyn: I agree.
@Carol: thanks!
@Jeanie: definitely.
@Marie: so do I.
Those owls certainly caught my eye as well
ReplyDeleteThey do for me.
DeleteQuite a variety of provincial choices. The owls are especially beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteA great series William, I think that all the birds have been very well displayed and such variety.
