Serene

The overall effect of Christ Church Cathedral is a peaceful one, especially with morning sunshine filtering in through the stained glass, as it was on this visit.

Here we have the other side chapel off the main altar, used for smaller services.

Another look into the main sanctuary.

There is an adjoining building, more modern, with office and class space, and a church hall. In between the passages leading to them is this lovely garden courtyard.

This is the main church hall, including a labyrinth.

And beneath the church itself, a columbarium. Urns are placed in here following cremation, and the effect of peacefulness continues down here. And there is room to expand as well, though I noticed some blank spots along the way.

I conclude with the stained glass at the far end. We'll move on to another location tomorrow.
