Earth Gallery

One of the permanent galleries here is the Earth Gallery, which focuses on rocks, minerals, crystals, and the essentials of planetary processes. This includes display panels, samples of rock types, and cases filled with mineral and gems. I have more from this gallery tomorrow.

    @Marleen: I have a great fondness for amethyst, which happens to be my birthstone- probably why.

    @Nancy: there certainly are precious stones.

    @Gunn: I just have a few pieces of amethyst around, nothing near this collection!

  19. Such a gallery would fascinate me. My special interest is rock texture, colour and shape. I would probably wander there for hours. The displays look great.
