Two Locales

Tulips were starting to show in the flower beds on Parliament Hill. These shots were all taken on the weekend before last.

They were also starting to show in some of the tulip beds at Major's Hill Park, where the National Gallery, Parliament Hill, the U.S. Embassy, and the Chateau Laurier are in the background of these shots. I was here in the park again on Sunday, and there was a big difference.

  1. They're getting so colorful. As they come into bloom the beds are beginning to look very lush.

  5. All the tulips compliment the buildings and make everything look beautiful. I bet the groundskeepers have their hands full during this time.

  21. @Carolann: you're welcome.

    @Gunn: we don't have any tulips on the property where I live- I don't think anyone's a gardener- but there are tulips in nearby flowerbeds.

    @Marleen: it certainly is!

    @Gemma: they do have that effect.

    @RedPat: yes, they will. Some years by the holiday weekend they're almost all gone. Not this year.
