A reminder to members of City Daily Photo that the theme day for July 1st is Neighbourhood.
Major's Hill Park is another destination for tulips during the festival. I went on a couple of occasions. Today we'll start looking at the first visit.
Some of the tulips are around and behind the statue of Colonel John By, the man who led the construction of the Rideau Canal. The Connaught Building lingers at right in the background, while the American embassy is at left.
The Chateau Laurier can be seen in the background here. We'll pick up again here tomorrow.
Stark contrast to the grey sky! Makes the scene even more colorful.
ReplyDelete...few things are nicer than a walk in the park!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow and orange tulips work so well together and it's always a pleasure to catch a glimpse of the fabulous Chateau Laurier ✨

Great to see spring's beauty, and the Chateau in the background is also beautiful and stately.
ReplyDeleteThere don't seem to be as many tulips planted this year as in years past!
ReplyDeleteThey do add their beauty to the landscape.
