A path runs between two beds of tulips at this spot.
Very close by, this view. I've always enjoyed seeing this house. Unfortunately their neighbour across the street lives in an abomination.
On the slope behind the above bed can be found some white trilliums- the provincial flower of Ontario.
And this is the aforementioned abomination in the background, one of the worst examples of infill housing I can think of, sticking out like a sore thumb around the elegance of its neighbours.
The low stone wall here makes for a good backdrop.
I finish off today nearby, where on a traffic island dividing up Queen Elizabeth Drive can be found daffodils.
More beautiful 💐 🌹 🌸 flowers. I love that house.

DeleteAny photo exhibition from the Tulip Mania, by the city maybe, where anyone can partake?
ReplyDeleteAs in private gardens?
DeleteYour appreciation for the tulips and charming house makes the jarring infill all the more frustrating; it's always a shame when thoughtless design disrupts a harmonious streetscape.
ReplyDeleteIt is.
DeleteI wonder why the powers that be approved the house? It seems so out of place. Looks more like an office block!
ReplyDeleteThe tulips make up for its ugliness tenfold.
I don't think the city cares, frankly.
