Frozen Beauty

Today I have the sculptures done by solo carvers in Confederation Park. I expect I'll be showing these again under lights before I'm done.

This last one is outside, big enough for kids to pose behind for photos, and adorned with maple leafs.

  8. @Marleen: very much so!

    @Grace: it happens, depending largely on how much sunlight they get. We've had a lot of grey days, so the effect has been less this far, I've noticed.

    @Karl: thanks!

    @Beth: it's quite a carousel reproduction!

    @Janey: I know!

    @Nancy: thanks!

  10. Such beautiful work. Too bad they gradually have to melt.

  14. Beautiful work by such talented artists. The first one is my favorite. To put an idea and create it in ice is awesome.

  15. @Tamago: thanks!

    @Carolann: they are short lived.

    @Sharon: they certainly are.

    @RedPat: I hope not- I've seen a forecast that we're rising up above freezing. These should be okay, but the Canal's a question mark.

    @Gemma: they certainly are.

    @Bill: definitely!

    @Bill: it is, yes.
