They are fabulouso William, here and last post.. I never really thought about them opaqueing with age, just sadly melting 😊 Looking forward to seeing them lit up!
Most of these have such a beautiful sense of motion. And the owl, which seems more still, has fantastic detail. How nice that you can visit such an amazing event. Lucky you!
Beautiful and graceful!

ReplyDeleteHard to select a favorite!
ReplyDeleteAll are beautiful done. Have a great day!
ReplyDelete@Marleen: very much so!
ReplyDelete@Grace: it happens, depending largely on how much sunlight they get. We've had a lot of grey days, so the effect has been less this far, I've noticed.
@Karl: thanks!
@Beth: it's quite a carousel reproduction!
@Janey: I know!
@Nancy: thanks!
Great sculptures! I'm amazed by all the delicate works. Love the detail on third sculpture!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful work. Too bad they gradually have to melt.
ReplyDeleteThey really are "icy" works of art.
ReplyDeleteI hope they don't all melt this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThese lovely sculptures are a wonderful testament to the artists' vivid imagination.
ReplyDeleteStunning work
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work by such talented artists. The first one is my favorite. To put an idea and create it in ice is awesome.
ReplyDelete@Tamago: thanks!
ReplyDelete@Carolann: they are short lived.
@Sharon: they certainly are.
@RedPat: I hope not- I've seen a forecast that we're rising up above freezing. These should be okay, but the Canal's a question mark.
@Gemma: they certainly are.
@Bill: definitely!
@Bill: it is, yes.
I think the artist's creativity shows more in the singles.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the owl the best.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way to choose which I like best. Fantastic.
