Tulip Blooms Alongside The Rideau Canal

Here we have daffodils growing in the grass on the slope leading onto the Flora Bridge ramp.

When I did the post on the bridge, I had one shot taken of the pond with a blossoming tree, and mentioned the bed of tulips at the far side. This is it, looking pretty in pink and red.

Of course every once in awhile a rogue tulip will make itself known. I like looking for them.

  6. I love the flowers around the pond, and was able to see the canal (I think) through railings and the bridge supports.

  10. Your new picture above is fabulous.
Haven't been to a park with flowers this year. I'm still cautious, giving preference to parks in my neighbourhood and those have no flower beds!!

  16. There is a line in the movie/book (I think it is in the book too) The Color Purple. It is something to the effect of: I think it upsets God when we walk past the color purple and fail to take notice of it. These photos remind me of it. There's not a lot of purple in them, but there is beauty. Thanks for sharing them here.
