I am finishing my series of archive shots today from Algonquin Park with something decidedly gloomy. This fall shot in the rain is at Lake Of Two Rivers. The lake is less welcoming now than it was to the canoeists I showed you some days back, but it still makes for a dramatic photograph.
Your dramatic shot is great
ReplyDeleteOne Democratic governor, Hawaii’s Gov. Neil Abercrombie, already went down in a primary last month. (The loss actually boosted Democrats’ hopes of holding the seat.)

ReplyDeleteI like the wavy bits. Pretty cool looking.
ReplyDeleteYes a dramatic photograph, William.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
Not, I take it, a harbinger of warm summer days ahead.
ReplyDeleteYou can just look at this water and tell that the weather is about to change. Nature is so transparent sometimes! Great capture!
ReplyDeleteStill looks very appealing to me
ReplyDeletethat is an amazing picture!
ReplyDeleteThe tree branch on the right really "makes" the photo. Lovely composition.

ReplyDeleteI was wondering what treat you'd have in store for us today. Gloomy weather but still quite lovely in your photograph.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot with a nice composition, William. I like the dramatic clouds above the water.
ReplyDeleteThe tree appears to grow horizontally, isn't that a bit strange?
ReplyDeleteThat photo could be used for a book cover....

ReplyDelete@Linda: thanks!
ReplyDelete@Sharon: it was a windy day.
@RedPat: we haven't had it yet, but we've had cloud and cooler weather.
@Denise: gloomy weather can make for good photo ops.
@Jan: it gives an entire different mood to the park.
@Marleen: oh, that tree had come down partially, probably in a storm.
@Norma: there's an idea!
@Meradeth: definitely not a swim in the fall!
The water definitely does look a bit riled up!
ReplyDeleteIt's almost like an alien landscape.
