Wanderings Of A Canadian Loon Through The National Capital And Beyond
Obviously they are not averse to colorful walls.
colourful :) and it looks like it was an interesting visit
The lady in the corner is spooky.
I like the door with the flag.... and the 'spooky' lady!
I find these Open Doors quite interesting. Some places around town do that here, too.
I agree with the others about the "spooky" lady. :-)
Yes, I wish more cities would take on your city's "Open Doors".
@Linda: certainly not.@Jen: it was.@Whisk: I had to look twice to make sure she wasn't real!@Ciel: that flag certainly does stand out.@Bibi: it's a good way to engage the community.@Revrunner: yes, one feels you're being watched.@Birdman: it's been quite successful here in the province.
Those are quite colorful rooms, it's about what I expected of Trinidad and Tobego.
I do not want to be disrespectful, but the spooky lady is quite funny...
I enjoy visiting bloggers from around the world. This is a good idea, too. Nice job.
i like the colors in the 2nd.
Nice soothing colors inside.
Caribbean colours!
@Jan: I liked the colours inside. The one thing I should have photographed and didn't was a set of steel drums on display.@VP: that appears to be a common reaction!@Jennifer: thank you!@Tex: so did I.@Sharon: they certainly are.@Jose: very Caribbean!
Wonderful William, I wonder if they open up the embassies in Washington DC? I would love to go on a tour of them.
I'm wondering why so few people seem to be at this High Commission...or were you just fortunate to find a time when only a few people were there.
The colours make the rooms attractive. I like it.
I love the green in the first photo!
I do like all those wall colors!
@Denise: I've heard the Canadian embassy there's quite a building.@EG: there were several visitors in there when I was in, aside from the volunteers and staff, but I tend to prefer to try to avoid getting other people into shots when I can.@Marleen: I liked it too.@Linda: it's a nice shade.@Lois: much better than neutral tan.
It somehow reminds me of the James Bond movies - with Sean Connery.
I can see that.
I thought at first that you had headed south! ;-)
No, I've never been off the continent.
It makes me think of homes from the '50s.
My very dear friend is from Trinidad.
Small world!
That would be fun to visit!
I find it so.
What happy wall paint!
Definitely.
