I've decided to spend the remainder of the month with these Algonquin archive shots. Yesterday I mentioned the campground at Lake Of Two Rivers being busy. Here we have a view of the beach along this stretch of the lake, with many a canoe and kayak already getting prepped for a day out on the lake.
William, your photo tells a tale of preparation and enjoyment. Thanks!ReplyDelete
Same kayaks different waters!ReplyDelete
ALOHA from Honolulu
=^..^= . <3 . >< } } (°>
Looks like it is a favorite summer activity for many people.ReplyDelete
I enjoy canoeing dont do it as often as Id likeReplyDelete
Bit of overkill there, must get jammed attimesReplyDelete
Looks like they will need a canoe traffic controller!ReplyDelete
I'm not a boater, but might do a canoe. It does look pretty crowded....if you fall over, you'd fall into another canoe. ;)ReplyDelete
A crowdy lake when everybody is in the water.ReplyDelete
We used to love go out with a canoe. Not with this many though!ReplyDelete
We will know the Alconquin park and his large dimensions.ReplyDelete
I think they've got just enough canoes :-)ReplyDelete
You can never have too many canoes. Canoes are so darn photogenic. Great capture.ReplyDelete
I agree with Greensboro. You can always use another canoe.ReplyDelete
I agree with Greensboro and Revrunner: we always need more canoes...ReplyDelete
Yes, canoes are photogenic.ReplyDelete
Happy weekend, William, you can take some more pictures of canoes :-)
@Lynette: youre welcome.ReplyDelete
@Kate: it does draw people in!
@Jen: it's been awhile since I've been out.
@Bill: this lake can be exceedingly busy at times.
@Halcyon: that would come in handy.
@Bibi: that could happen!
@Marianne: it'll be less crowded now.ReplyDelete
@Marleen: I prefer a quieter lake.
@Tomas: it is a pleasure to show the place.
@Tamago: plenty to go around.
@Revrunner: we'll just have to find some.
@VP: there's no shortage of demand!
@Karl: thank you!
It's a colourfull sight to see all those canoes at the beach.ReplyDelete
Probably not these days. See you in June '15.ReplyDelete
Looks like they have plenty to me.ReplyDelete
that's pretty cool.ReplyDelete
Wow! A busy place!ReplyDelete
@Jan: it is a popular lake to be at on a warm day. I have an upcoming shot of the lake with different weather.ReplyDelete
@Birdman: there are some people who actually come and camp in the winter, though not at Lake Of Two Rivers. Mew Lake, however, is the one campground that's winter ready.
@Sharon: it seems to be a very Canadian activity to canoe or kayak.
@Cheryl: exceedingly busy.
@Luis: on lakes in the interior that you have to paddle and portage to, it's not nearly this busy, but this is right on the corridor highway.
It's going to be busy!ReplyDelete
I agree with Bibi.ReplyDelete
That's a LOT of canoes!
It sure is crowded but it looks like the people are having fun.ReplyDelete
Yes, it looks like the gang's all here!ReplyDelete
I should go for a canoe ride. Neighbours let me park on their waterfront, in the bush. But I'm just plain tired! Went to the Carp fair. No backpacks. Really. Hubby needed his water, pills, emergency bars. What a pain.ReplyDelete
@RedPat: in the summer, definitely. Not so much now, and I think after Thanksgiving, Lake of Two Rivers closes (otherwise in November). Mew Lake, however, stays open through winter.ReplyDelete
@Norma: it must have been a convention.
@Bill: there's really so much to do there during the summer for campers.
@Jennifer: a backpack would come in handy for those occasions.
Looks like they have plenty of canoes! Did you rent one?ReplyDelete
you can never have too many canoes. looks like a busy place. hope there is enough WATER, though??! ha. ha!! ( :ReplyDelete
They make a colorful array.ReplyDelete
I agree with Mari. Nice shot.ReplyDelete
Looks like a popular pastime William, super colourful canoes!ReplyDelete
You're right, it does look busy!ReplyDelete
It seems to be a very busy place, right?ReplyDelete
Looks to busy for me, but fun for others.ReplyDelete
@EG: oddly I've never rented a canoe.ReplyDelete
@Beth: yes there is.
@Mari: they do!
@Grace: it is!
@Linda: very much so.
@Jose: yes, indeed.
