Feline Mistress Of The Universe

Felix is the name of this cat, who despite the name is a girl. One of the neighbours in my building has her and another one, who tends to be very shy. Felix has liked to come visit me for an hour or so in the evenings. They're now out of the building and moved into new quarters; I'm looking for a new place myself.

  3. Amazing how attached we can get to neighbor's pets. I hope that you find a place to live that is your favorite place of all. You know the city, for sure. What place feels like home to you? Keep us posted.

  4. Oi, that is hard, to lose a feline neighbor-friend. :(
    Good luck, William.

  5. @Whisk: the cats went with them.

    @Tomas: she is.

    @Marianne: I will.

    @Halcyon: she's a cutie.

    @Marleen: very much so.

    @Janis: I hope I find.something soon. Right now this place no longer feels like home, and that is a situation involving legal proceedings that I would like to talk about but can't yet.

    @Dina: thanks!

  7. You must feel very honored. Cats are very choosy about who they spend time with and if Felix likes to visit you, that's a special treat.

  8. Felix looks like a sweetie. I'm sorry that she's moved away. Perhaps you ought to get a cat yourself? You could name it Felix II.

  10. A new abode may require a kitten to help make it a home.

  12. @Nancy: the sooner the better. Given the state of relations with a certain individual- along with said individual's incredible incompetence and toxic nature- I need to be somewhere else.

    @Sharon: it took her quite awhile. She and the other cat were rescues, and whoever'd had them before had mistreated them. They were fine with the neighbour and her kids, but both quite shy.

    @Lowell: I shall see.

    @Grace: I'll need luck, but I'll find something soon.

    @Catalyst: that might well be!

    @Red: she was. Except for belly rubs, in which she'd let you have two strokes, and then it was KILL CLAW DESTROY!!!

    @RedPat: I do, and they've only been gone since Wednesday. The last week's been difficult all around, but I know in the end, the person who's been causing such difficulties for all of us is going to find out that his actions have hard consequences.

  13. She looks like a very peaceful cat. It's too bad she had to move. I know there is a cat for you out there somewhere. You'll eventually cross paths :)

  14. She's a cutie!

    Hope you get moved soon.

  16. What an easy way to keep a cat ;) I hope your new place comes with as cute a cat as Felix ... maybe you have a cat of your own anyway? My daughter always drags me through the cat adoption room at our pet store. They all look like they would be happy anywhere but in those cages. I've never owned a cat though.

  17. A perfect arrangement to have a cat and yet not have a cat. Good luck with your move.

  18. Such a sweet visitor. May you have such where you land, William

  19. Adding my good wishes on a successful (and happy) relocation, William. Moving is a difficult chore all the way around, but in the end, peace is well worth it. And, maybe you will even adopt a rescue kitty of your own for your new place:-)

  20. @Bill: at some point!

    @Norma: I hope so too.

    @Kay: I'm busy looking. I got derailed by the last few days.

    @Wendy: I'd be inclined to go for shelters. I've heard stories about pet stores.

    @Denise: I'm going to need some luck. Had I known how much of a problem this individual would have turned out to be, I'd have moved in September.

    @MB: they're wonderful critters!

    @Cloudia: I hope so!

    @Beatrice: right now I definitely need that peace. It's been a long string of stress, aggravation, and frustration. At some point I'll have to blog about it.
