Lighting Up The Night Sky

Canada Day ends with fireworks set off from Nepean Point. The best vantage points are over at the Museum of History in Gatineau and at Major's Hill Park in Ottawa. I chose the latter and took in the fireworks.

  9. Not easy to take good pictures of a firework, yours are real good. We will have that on July 21 on our National Day in Belgium.

  21. @Beth: I have videoed a fireworks display before, on Victoria Day, but I kind of figure it's better to photograph.

    @Sharon: it's a great way to finish the day. I've only seen it once when it was cancelled, and that was because of high winds.

    @Marie: I've never been on the Hill during the fireworks. One year I was up on one of the bridges, either Plaza Bridge or the Mackenzie King bridge.
