Hello, Beastie

 Coming into the next area of the Fossil Gallery, we find a set of dinosaur reproductions we can walk among, set in a confrontation of predators and prey. The predators are outnumbered. The herbivores appear to be of the chasmosaurus irvinensis species.

  1. They are fascinating!
    The predators were in the minority but also very large! Have you seen the teeth that they have? It was a real massacre there! That "crown" a Chasmosaurus irvinensis has is also bone based, so hard enough to fight!

  2. We were lucky not to be their contemporary...

  3. @Nancy: indeed.

    @Ella: those horns too would be lethal.

    @Italiafinlandia: we'd lose out.

    @Gattina: oh, I don't know... Chasmosaurus looks rather photogenic. But can't be housetrained.

    @John: children of all ages.

  20. Sins, grandsons, and great-grands have almost all gone through a dinosaur phase... how fun it would be to tour a wonderful museum like this with someone at that perfect age! The awe and joy (on my part too) would be amazing!
