Wanderings Of A Canadian Loon Through The National Capital And Beyond
Two Arctic hares are at the heart of this diorama.
Interesting wildlife.
The arctic hares are particularly beautiful. Some of our mountain hares change to white in the winter, though we have so little snow these days that it can't be a very useful adaptation nowadays.
Those hares are on the lunch menu for so many other creatures.
Cute. Just saw a docu that some bunnies change the fur come spring!
The artic hares look so cute, the Cougars magnificent 💙
...the predator and the prey.
The cougar is a surprise, I didn't know it lives in Canada.
@Italiafinlandia: that they are.@John: it can be quite useful here.@David: that is true.@Iris: these do.@Grace: I agree.@Tom: yes, but in this case these two species will never meet.@Jan: yes, in the Rockies.
The hares look so adorably cute.
Both are beautiful creatures.
From gentle to fierce!
Those arctic hares are cute!
Never heard of a cougar, but recognize the easter bunny !
Interesting animals
The dioramas with the hares and the cougars are quite well done.
@Magiceye: they do.@Nancy: definitely.@RedPat: indeed.@Sharon: very much so.@Gattina: cougars are also called mountain lions.@Maywyn: they are.@Sami: I think so too.
I didn't realize how large the Arctic hare is until I saw one... about twice a large as our jack rabbit.
Did you read about the cougar loose in LA? :-)
Great exhibit! I love the critters, both the hare and cougars. Take care, enjoy your day!
Nice dioramas. The Arctic hares are beautiful animals.
Apparently PEI only has hares, not rabbits., unless tame ones escape.
I enjoy dioramas, especially with critters.
The Arctic hares are rather cute.
@Red: they are big.@Revrunner: I had not.@Eileen: thank you!@Marleen: that they are.@Marie: that doesn't surprise me.@Denise: me too.@Bill: I agree.
The dioramas are so well done.The Arctic hares are wonderful, and a perfect colour.All the best Jan
Like the Arctic hares, how well their white fur blends in with the snow.
Love the hares ~ cougar are handsome ~ Moment by moment,A ShutterBug Explores,aka (A Creative Harbor)
We have bobcats back in Ohio. Not nearly so impressive as cougars, though.
The hares are so beautiful:)
I have only ever seen one white hare in the wild and that was one snowy winter in the highlands of Scotland.
The artic hares are just too adorable for words. And the opossum isn't far behind in the cuteness stakes.
I recognize the hares and the possums, we have them here too but they are classed as pets, pity cos they're cute
The hares are beautiful. I have a possum in my yard now and then. I wonder if the cougars are looking for the hares?
Today's post is an owl with a rabbit or hare. Rather fun!
Well, not for the rabbit!
always love seeing bunnies ...it has been a while. that shadow man is always following u. lol. ( ;
Thanks.
