Crossing the Portage Bridge into Gatineau on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River one day, I photographed this bed of tulips, which is the first thing one sees after departing the bridge.
Off in the background, a Canada goose was busy having lunch.
While people would certainly be aware of this flowerbed- there's a lot of foot traffic, bike traffic, and car traffic passing by- I always seem to have this particular bed of tulips to myself when I pass by.
Off beyond, some tulips growing in the grass- the work of squirrel gardeners.
