Vietnam House was another stop during Doors Open; the link from yesterday's post had other images from this residence and embassy space. These shots of the dining and living rooms were extra shots in my folders. I didn't notice the fire extinguisher until the other day.
very pretty decor.ReplyDelete
love the chandelier and the couch :)ReplyDelete
Spacious, clean houses you'll quickly see.ReplyDelete
I like the sofa in the 2nd shot :-)ReplyDelete
Love the fire extinguisher, William! :-) Probably code, like here in the States.ReplyDelete
Well in any case they are prepared for the worst.ReplyDelete
Just in case something burns on the dinner table? :-)ReplyDelete
What a beautiful room. That fire extinguisher does seem a bit out of place sitting there. How funny.ReplyDelete
This is not really my taste, but I had to laugh about the fire extinguisher.ReplyDelete
I remember your exterior shot of this building and that it was very beautiful. The fire extinguisher is pretty funny. I wonder if someone set it down there temporarily and then forgot about it! :)ReplyDelete
pretty and i love your title!ReplyDelete
It is well furnished, which makes sense, since Vietnam makes so much of the furniture we are buying these days in North America.ReplyDelete
It looks very traditional.ReplyDelete
Always best to be prepared hey William :) this looks like a very comfortable residence.ReplyDelete
Quite elegant and traditional!ReplyDelete
I only noticed a fire extinguisher after I posted a photo on my blog the other day! LOL!ReplyDelete
@Tex: I thought so.ReplyDelete
@Jen: so did I.
@Karl: it has character.
@Revrunner: Most likely.
@Marianne: they are.
@Ciel: yes, we can't have that!
@Sharon: now I do wonder if it belongs there or should be somewhere else.
@Jan: it's peculiar how we overlook things.
@Lowell: that could be.ReplyDelete
@Tanya: I sometimes come up with odd titles.
@Jack: that is true.
@Luis: I thought so.
@Marleen: yes it does.
@Grace: it does feel that way.
@VP: elegant indeed.
@Jose: the things we don't see at first, huh?
Nice that the table and floors match.ReplyDelete
I love that table. What a great place to clip and sort coupons.ReplyDelete
Doesn't have much of an Asian flair to it, does it? Very nice though.ReplyDelete
@Linda: the place does let in a lot of light.
@Norma: I certainly thought so.
@Whisk: that would certainly be an alternate use!
@RedPat: well the overall design of the house predates the diplomatic mission, but the statues on the cabinet have an Asian aspect.
Haha. Seriously, that would be a killer space. Or I can use it to block the sliding doors, where zombies might otherwise, break in.ReplyDelete
What a well-manicured home!ReplyDelete
ALOHA from Honolulu
=^..^= . <3
It is a lovely place, it would be nice to have a meal in that dining room, knowing how safety conscious they are there ;) a safe place to eat!ReplyDelete
Lovely! And the fire extinguisher is obvious to add that special personal touch!ReplyDelete
what a golden opportunity to get to see these places in person!ReplyDelete
Since you called my attention to the fact that there was a fire extinguisher, I saw it right away. Odd place. Why not in a cabinet?ReplyDelete
@Whisk: thanks! I think...ReplyDelete
@Halcyon: it certainly is.
@Cloudia: thanks for stopping in.
@Denise: it would an ideal dining room.
@Cheryl: it's definitely unexpected.
@Greensboro: it certainly is.
@Mari: I wonder if it might have been placed there for the weekend as a just in case.
I wonder if they use a lot of candles and the fire extinguisher is there just in case.ReplyDelete
It looks so swanky, except for the fire extinguisher!!!ReplyDelete
Unfortunately better safe than sorry.Delete
I'm with Lowell: someone probably swept through saying, "Oh, we've got to get this put away," an then got called to put out another proverbial fire...I can't imagine this was where it was intended for an emergency.ReplyDelete
That could be.Delete
I like the statues sitting next to the extinguisher. It is an odd spot for an extinguisher, isn't it?ReplyDelete
I'm wondering if it was misplaced and belongs in a kitchen nearby.Delete
