I have some spring tree and bush blossoms today from various spots in the city. The final shot overlooks Dow's Lake. Tomorrow I have an update on that whole sinkhole thing from last week, and the next day I'm getting started with my Doors Open series.
These colors of the births of flowers are very tender.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
The trees are blooming beautifully. Their scent must be nice to smell.
ReplyDeleteTrees look suddenly so different when they are blooming.
ReplyDeleteNice to see all those beautiful blossoms under that clear blue sky.
ReplyDeleteThe trees are blooming beautifully. What a great sight!
ReplyDeleteLove the dogwoods and the crepe myrtles...our crepe myrtles are really blooming right now and I'll post a couple of those shots. You are overcome with gorgeous flora in Ottawa! Attaway Ottawa!
ReplyDeleteThose trees are gorgeous and I always love seeing lilacs.
ReplyDelete@Tomas: they don't last long!
ReplyDelete@Bill: especially lilacs.
@Marianne: they do, and here it seems so brief, May into early June.
@Jan: I had some good sky conditions when I was photographing these.
@Nancy: thank you!
@Lowell: I hadn't known one of them was a dogwood.
@Sharon: I love lilacs too.
It's amazing how thick these blossoms are. The only one I can put name to is the lilac.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a good spring for blossoms. Let's hope it is a good one for fruits and berries, too.

@Red: lilacs I love, in whatever colour they come, but mostly here they're in that light purple.

Woweee!! Those shots are magnificent!

We have loads of dogwoods down here too, but they are declining due to some kind of blight!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trees, William!
ReplyDeleteI think the Wisteria is at its limit down here - it might survive up in Ottawa but probably wouldn't flower.
Wonderful flowers and colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, William!
ReplyDeleteWinter does seem like a distant memory with all these colorful blooms now.
ReplyDeleteBut for a couple of exceptions, you could have called this a "white out". :-)
ReplyDelete@MB: thank you!
ReplyDelete@Cheryl: if these are dogwoods, that's a surprise to me, but others are thinking so as well.
@RedPat: ah, that would certainly explain it. I haven't seen it here, but I'm not that good with plant identification.
@Stuart: thank you!
@Marleen: thanks!
@Beatrice: and yet winter will be back before we know it.
@Revrunner: I could have!
Gorgeous shots!
ReplyDeleteDogwood and lilacs, how magnificent!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!! I'm beginning to think that if I want to prolong my enjoyment of springtime I should come your way after ours is done.
ReplyDeletePretty blooms! I look forward to your Open Doors tours.
ReplyDeleteThe blossom trees are too beautiful, the tree in the last shot would look fab in my garden :)
ReplyDelete@Lois: thanks!
ReplyDelete@Mari: they are.
@Kay: that's a good idea.
@Linda: I'm putting the series together now, though I'm going to break for a few days around the start of the month with some other posts before finishing it.
@Grace: it's a pretty big tree!
Looks nice, and some probably smell nice too.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteOh how beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely.
