"It is a truth universally acknowledged that two rascals must be in need of opportunities for shenanigans." ~ Jane Austen- Pride And Prejudice And Polar Vortexes
Some of the newer architecture at the University of Guelph can be seen here.
A large sculpture sits at one of the major intersections passing through the campus. It is a gryphon, a nod to the university sports team name.
As to the two rascals- my brother and I. It's said that when we're around each other, the noise doubles and the shenanigans, goofing off, and tomfoolery commence post haste.
We carried on, walking back towards where we had parked. This beaver was on the grounds outside one of the buildings.
Some more of the architecture here, a mix of old and new campus buildings. Tomorrow I'll show you where we went to next.
Nice with the selfie with your brother.

ReplyDeleteReminds me of Papua New Guinea where they have rascals (spelt raskols in the local language) - they are criminal gangs.

Two rascals quite carries me back My brothers were such. But that was so long ago, they are rascals among stardust now days.
ReplyDeleteAfter being away on our anniversary road trip in a couple of new England towns, there was a lot of catching up to do, William. I enjoyed seeing the photos from the churches as well as your visit to Guelph, but didn't leave comments. You and your brother do look similar - thanks for the family side-by-side.
ReplyDeleteI like that gryphon. It seems more interesting than some I've seen...but I may be mixing it up with gargoyles. You and your brother look very much alike. Sounds like you have similar temperaments, too, which means you're destined to tomfoolery and such.
ReplyDeletethat makes me laugh ... glad to see you 2 got up to something silly ... i mean u only live once ... why not be silly? it is only human nature, right? lol. love the bird. gryphon, reminds me of Harry Potter? ( ;
ReplyDeleteEsculturas fantásticas, aproveito para desejar a continuação de uma boa semana.

@Joanne: fortunately he and I get along.
ReplyDelete@Beatrice: you're welcome.
@Kay: it's quite distinctive.
@Beth: that's a hippogriff in the Potter books. Hind of a horse, front of an eagle. Griffins or gryphons are the back side and legs of a lion, front of an eagle.
@Francisco: thank you!
Looks like fun. Love the Gryphon:)
