More from the Christmas market today. A wood carver brings in some holiday themed sculptures as seen here.
Another vendor is a stained glass artist. Her work is particularly eye catching.
I bought some honey here.
Here we have another wider view of the Pavilion.
Dogs are a common sight during the farmer's markets. This one noticed me.
Outside, here was a view of the chalets. I believe they get started early in the afternoon, depending on the day.
Sorry, but... the doggy was my favorite :-)
ReplyDelete(Even though I´m afraid of them, but he looks friendly!)
It was a large market with a wide variety of products!
ReplyDeleteI don't really like a lot of the glitter and glamour of christmas. But I do like decorations of natural materials like those of the wood carvers and the green branches.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the honey. Yesterday we had friends for lunch and received a jar of raspberry jam and another of red pepper jelly, both homemade. It doesn't get any better.
ReplyDeleteNice photos!
ReplyDeleteI thought the little guy was Groot from the thumbnail.
That dog probably reads your blog!
...fun and festive, my favorites are the items made of wood!
ReplyDeleteGosto destes mercados de Natal.

I buy honey from an island vendor. It’s great to support local producers.

@David: it is good honey.
@Sandi: possibly.
@Tom: they're good.
@Francisco: thanks.
@Marie: it is.
I enjoy farmers markets. This is the last one of the year for us today. I like that sweet dog, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou beat the crowds that day, William!
ReplyDeleteI like the wood carver's work.
ReplyDeleteEat local honey, raw, and it will help with allergies - so I believe since some of the pollen is taken in small doses (like a vaccination only it tastes good).
ReplyDeleteIt's quite amazing what people create for Christmas decorations.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good selection of holiday gifts. I like those carved wood pieces.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing things people have made. So much more personal.
ReplyDelete@DJan: he was definitely friendly.
ReplyDelete@RedPat: it's quite different from how it is at night.
@Marleen: so do I.
@Barbara: that's true.
@Red: it is indeed.
@Sharon: so do I.
@Jeanie: I agree.
I just saw today a wooden snowman like the one in the market pictured above, I've never seen one before. I hope the dog got something from the market, maybe some biscuit treats. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope!
DeleteBeautiful Christmas Market. I am always delighted in these markets and surely would also buy honey, because here we all love

ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteI love those wooden deer. Mine is nearly 20 years old and is feeling its age.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it's the same fellow who makes them. No idea off hand where he lives.
DeleteInteresting market! It's nice that there are local crafts people rather than a bunch of cheap junk and trinkets.
