The shots from today and tomorrow date to the latter part of October, when I had occasions to be up in the Hintonburg and Westboro areas. I came across a number of murals as I went along.
This is the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre, home to the acting troupe the Great Canadian Theatre Company.
Several years ago Wellington Street was ripped up for a massive infrastructure overhaul in Hintonburg. It's the practice of the city to place public art along such streets afterwards. In this case it was hydrant sculptures. Two of them are here.
This last one, I believe, is in Westboro. It's a musically themed mural that does need a bit of a touch up. More of this tomorrow.
Beautiful murals and what interesting hydrants. I haven't seen this sort of public art before.

Is it my imagination, or are murals being increasingly more used in urban landscapes? I do not spend a whole lot of time in towns and cities, but there seem to have been more murals of late when I have had appointments in the city.
