The first of each month is a theme day for City Daily Photo bloggers. Around the world on this first of February, bloggers are posting on the theme Entry. You can find other examples right at this link.. I'm going with two locales in Ottawa today.
I have mentioned this place in passing, but have not featured it here as of yet. The Museum of Nature is downtown, in a building over a century old. It was first erected in memory of Queen Victoria. Today its galleries display exhibits focusing on the natural world. This is the main entrance, complete with moose heads sculpted above the doors.
Inside the entrance, the stained glass windows above the doors are vivid in morning light.
Over at Confederation Park, this is one of the entrances to the park. This week, workers have been finishing up preparations for Winterlude, which kicked off yesterday. Two of the workers are here at this entrance, one visible at the left, the other at the top of the ladder, out of sight. Winterlude is going to feature in this blog quite prominently this month.
