Wanderings Of A Canadian Loon Through The National Capital And Beyond
The first two are really cool!
No more gaudy trucks? I'll take the last one!
I'm not sure about the purple highlights... but at least the cars are loved!
Really great cars.
The Camaro is my favorite.
Love this series you're running with the cars.
I think Ford was the one who decreed a car should be black. Ha! He should see the colors now!
I love seeing and photographing old cars. FUN!
There was quite a variety of cars here.
Oh I like the #1 and 2 cars. My one brother had a Model T. Ford. I think. He used to have to crank it up at the front to start it.. So now that is going back some. I think I may have been about 12 to recognize what he was doing. Nice cars William. Thanks for sharing.
I'm old enough to remember the original colors. I prefer original color and I don't know why they don't use it. There's nothing wrong with the colors used...they're just not original.
Another great set of wonderful cars! Thanks William.
@Norma: thank you!@VP: the colour in that last one's not quite to my liking.@Halcyon: they certainly are.@Blogoratti: thanks!@Revrunner: I knew someone who had one. I have no idea what's become of him.@Mike: I've enjoyed showing them. One more of these tomorrow.@Cheryl: that was Ford, yes.@EG: thank you!@Sharon: there certainly was.@Carolann: the oldest car I've ever seen was one from the earliest years of driving.@Red: some people go for other colours. I'd prefer blue or black.@Luis: you're welcome!
The purple highlights are nice!
I really like the first two!
Hi William, my choice will be the 1st one. Beautiful!
I love the purplish color on the classic car. Come to think of it, I never see purple vehicles on the road. Must be really rare!
I love the way the owners know every detail of their car. Great photos.JanisGDP
That 2nd one look very much like my first car - a '37 Chevy. But it was all black and a front bumper among other things...And the springs were fun. You could get a few guys jumping up and down standing on the bumper and the car would start bouncing like it was amidst waves in the ocean. The "good ol' days."
I immediately thought to myself I do like that black car but the three of the are fantastic.
The purple one for me thanks!
i love vintage cars ... i love the 3rd one .. i would have to ask the hubby it's name. he is better at that to me ... i just know what i think is pretty. ha. ha!! ( :
Black with purple highlights, very elegant!
I agree with you - those purple highlights are very nice. "Period correct" is all good and well but if someone's going to put so much work into the restoration why not put in a little personality, too?
That's station wagon looks enormous, I think that will be my choice today..
I'm here in Montana (USA) in the cold.
I am Tomás.
@RedPat: thanks!@Linda: so did I.@Nancy: thank you!@Tamago: exceedingly rare.@Janis: thank you!@Lowell: ah, the good old days!@Denise: I'm enjoying seeing how people react.@Ciel: that seems popular today!@Beth: I'm hopeless with identifying cars.@Marleen: I thought so too.@Kay: indeed!@Geoff: my parents had for several years a station wagon that was from the 80s.@Tomas: hello there!
So many of the really old cars are painted colors that were never used in their era. To me, it ruins the authenticity.
I like the purple highlights.
Love that last one. I had one but it was black.
Yes, the good, old days!!! Not.
Hey, I think this is my 1975 yellow Camaro! Well, mine had a black vinyl top. Varooooooooooooooooooooom away! I left rubber.
purple on for me please.
