The Silver Starlets are two acrobats featured in the buskers festival this year. These two women had a knack for bantering with the audience while doing tricks on suspended hoops, swings, and fabric. They even switched costumes mid-set and brought on a pair of guys from the audience (mostly to give them a boost, and then to hold up the two quick change mobile closets, so to speak, they had on them so they could make the costume switch- you can see the blue fabric hoops on the ground in the fifth shot). Watching their act, and their flexibility and talent up in the air, was fun. They can be found on Facebook as well.
They are certainly drawing quite a crowd with their act!
ReplyDeleteWauuuu ... great photos from this happening.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they are well received by the audience.
ReplyDeleteThere is even a yoga like this now. So much fun.
We've got a similar theme today!

An interesting photo op, with a lot of public...
ReplyDeleteSome people, I think, were born to be entertainers. :-)
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot going on at the festival there, acrobatic movements.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun that must have been to see.
ReplyDeleteThey've certainly attracted quite a crowd and the audience appears to be quite interested in their act.
ReplyDeleteThey make it look so easy William :) but I can just imagine the training and hard work that goes into making it look like that!
ReplyDeleteAcrobat acts are great crowd pullers. I love to watch acrobat acts too. Great captures!
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice size crowd watching them. I bet they were very entertaining!
ReplyDeleteWhat a show !
ReplyDeleteI've seen a similar act. They move slowly from one routine to the other and talk all the time. They also use the banner. You always come up with great series to post.
ReplyDelete@Linda: they certainly did!
ReplyDelete@Orvokki: thank you!
@Janis: I'll be looking for yours!
@VP: they brought out quite a crowd.
@Revrunner: definitely.
@Marianne: I took a great many shots of this duo, and paring them down to a post was a challenge!
@Stuart: it was fun.
@EG: they had the crowd in the palm of their hands.
@Grace: it's a lot of work doing this.
@Nancy: thank you!
@Janey: they were entertaining, and very funny.
@Karl: definitely a great show.
@Red: these two had a lot of banter going on. It's not something you can do if you're introverted.
That's quite an act!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I love these acrobatic shows. Amazing that this one is so portable.
ReplyDeleteWow, they look amazing. How interesting they even switch costumes!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see them perform live!
Thanks for sharing these. I enjoy the acrobatic shows. I always tease my oldest Granddaughter as she is the fitness gal in our family.as you know I said no excuses if you cant get a job. They would take you in a drop of a hat on the road.
ReplyDeleteShe wakes up doing fitness and never stops. She is full of joy and smiles since the days he was born I swear.
Like something from Cirque du Soleil, William! Without the high prices. ;-))
ReplyDeleteThey certainly drew a large audience.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Looks like everyone is enjoying them!
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'd have very much enjoyed this one!
ReplyDeleteThis looks quite spectaculair!
ReplyDeleteMore coolio!
ReplyDeleteStrength, control, and teamwork. Looks like an amazing act. And, as RedPat notes, less expensive than Cirque du Soleil.
ReplyDeleteWow - what a party!
ReplyDeleteHave a Wonderful Week!
Peace :)
This looks like a really fantastic event, every country should have one...
ReplyDeleteIn the heat, I'm probably passing on most of this. But... I do like a party.
ReplyDelete@Sharon: they certainly are!
ReplyDelete@Halcyon: they do half hour shows, then break downs, and come back a bit later on in the day at perhaps another location. Each act had numerous shows through the weekend.
@Tamago: I wondered at first, but they had quite a solution to it; the guys were holding up these fabric hoops for them while they switched.
@Carolann: it was a whole lot of fun watching this.
@RedPat: indeed!
@Oakland: they certainly did draw quite a crowd.
@Cheryl: they were well enjoyed by this crowd.
@Jennifer: you're welcome.

@Geoff: I know a couple of them headed off to Edinburgh after this show.
@Birdman: it was quite a hot day- I think even my camera was starting to feel the heat!
