The Silver Starlets

The Silver Starlets are two acrobats featured in the buskers festival this year. These two women had a knack for bantering with the audience while doing tricks on suspended hoops, swings, and fabric. They even switched costumes mid-set and brought on a pair of guys from the audience (mostly to give them a boost, and then to hold up the two quick change mobile closets, so to speak, they had on them so they could make the costume switch- you can see the blue fabric hoops on the ground in the fifth shot). Watching their act, and their flexibility and talent up in the air, was fun. They can be found on Facebook as well.

  9. They make it look so easy William :) but I can just imagine the training and hard work that goes into making it look like that!

  12. I've seen a similar act. They move slowly from one routine to the other and talk all the time. They also use the banner. You always come up with great series to post.

  16. Thanks for sharing these. I enjoy the acrobatic shows. I always tease my oldest Granddaughter as she is the fitness gal in our family.as you know I said no excuses if you cant get a job. They would take you in a drop of a hat on the road.

    She wakes up doing fitness and never stops. She is full of joy and smiles since the days he was born I swear.

  24. @Sharon: they certainly are!

    @Halcyon: they do half hour shows, then break downs, and come back a bit later on in the day at perhaps another location. Each act had numerous shows through the weekend.

    @Tamago: I wondered at first, but they had quite a solution to it; the guys were holding up these fabric hoops for them while they switched.

    @Carolann: it was a whole lot of fun watching this.

    @RedPat: indeed!

    @Oakland: they certainly did draw quite a crowd.

    @Cheryl: they were well enjoyed by this crowd.

    @Birdman: it was quite a hot day- I think even my camera was starting to feel the heat!
