I've known this day was coming for a little while, a point of no return, without the deranged opera ghost. This post is my 902nd post in the blog- and in a tie with my writer's blog today, as I'm publishing my 902nd post there today. Since I only post there three times a week, that means the photoblog now takes over the lead in posts between the two. Which is going to stay that way- I'd never keep up trying to post writing blogs every day!
Here are some of the finished works that I showed you in progress yesterday.
902!! Wow you're making me feel slack ;)
ReplyDeleteThere are artists in ice, of course.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
The ice sculptor are very brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI never look at the counts of my blog, but I should say go on with it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how bloggers keep more than one blog going! Well done you William.. 902 x 2 is an amazing effort! Super series of ice sculptures here, cheeky squirrel in first shot is tres cute!
ReplyDeleteLove the swan. Congratulations on 902 x 2. Deb
ReplyDeleteThose ice sculptures are just fantastic. Would that they would last.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDelete@Debs: it helps that I started the writing blog years earlier.
@Tomas: indeed!
@Orvokki: they did good work.
@Marianne: at some point later this year this one will hit a thousand.
@Grace: and less devious than real squirrels.
@Deb: thanks!
@Stuart: they are short lived.
902? Bravo! Few people realize how much work goes into maintaining a photo blog. Definitely, a labor of love! Nice series of ice sculptures.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of posts! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful works of art.
ReplyDeleteEven though the snow sculptures are excellent I do like the ice sculptures---well maybe not better but---well yes better.
ReplyDeleteMB
Congrats on the 902 X 2 for both blogs . I have two blogs as well as you know I seem to do more on one then the other lol . It can be time consuming to keep up two blogs that's for sure . Thanks for sharing , have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou can keep me on ice anytime!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 902.
ReplyDelete@SRQ: I tend to do a lot in advance- at present, I've got nearly a month's worth of posts prepped to one degree or another.
ReplyDelete@Furry Gnome: thanks!
@Marie: they are artistic.
@MB: the ice is more beautiful, I think.
@Country Gal: my schedule for the writing blog tends to go three days a week. That I can manage.
@Cloudia: thanks!
@Whisk: thank you!
These sculptures have less detail but they use the clarity of the ice for some good contrast.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your milestone.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Congrats on your blog achievements!!
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to understand how you feel about keeping two blogs... The sculptures are great, by the way!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the milestone!
ReplyDeleteSchöne Eis Skulpturen Glückwunsch zur 902.

Noke
I have a hard enough time keeping up with one blog! Congrats to you. The finished products are perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering how many of these elegant creations are in place.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAh... the I can't keep up syndrome... :-)
These people did really well! They must have practiced before!
ReplyDeleteWow, 902! Congratulations! And you are getting so close to 1000....!
ReplyDeleteLove all the finished works. They are so beautiful!
@Red: I think the carvers behind the big sculptures moved on after the first week. I know there's a competition up in Alaska that probably involves some of the same carvers.
ReplyDelete@VP: I did like these ones!
@Sharon: I wondered for awhile when it would end up matching up, these two.
@Noke: thank you!
@Janey: for awhile when I first started with the writing blog I was going at more of a pace. It's easier keeping up with posting each day on a photoblog.
@Jacob: I think ten to twelve of these ice sculptures ringing the fountain probably does the trick. Any more and it gets crowded.
@Ciel: fortunately these days I can pace myself!
@RedPat: I wonder if some of them come from the Ottawa School Of Art. That would explain a good deal about their work carving.
@Tamago: I'll hit 1000 here in three months or so, and possibly over at the writer's blog before year's end.
Congrats on your presence in the blogosphere. You are appreciated.

The ice sculptures are amazing, great pieces of art.
ReplyDeleteWow! Don't know how you do it!
ReplyDeleteThe ice sculptures are just beautiful! Makes me want to come up to Canada even in snow weather!
Whoa 902, well done keep 'em coming....
ReplyDeleteLoved the ones with the children.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like there may be some contenders for a more prestigious place next year.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 902! (I must say that one blog is entirely enough for me!)
That's 1804... pretty impressive! And you must spend hours visiting other blogs and posting on CDP.
ReplyDeletewow that is a lot of posts!! Congrats. i wonder why they don't back light these guys ... they are a bit difficult to see through a computer screen. but way cool all the same. ( :
ReplyDeleteBrilliant artists.
ReplyDelete@Janis: thanks!
ReplyDelete@Marleen: they are.
@Cheryl: I love this festival.
@Geoff: and now all these years later I'm just about to pass two thousand.
@Mari: thank you!
@Kay: I've now had the writer's blog well behind.
@Linda: I get a lot of blog reading in, but I'm quite efficient in how I read.
@Beth: thanks!
@Carolann: they are.
