I'm finishing off my series from the Museum of History today with these views of the Grand Hall.
This includes exterior views looking in at the Grand Hall lit up for the evening, from where the fountain usually runs during warmer weather. The snow was still falling when I left the Museum, though not as heavily as when I arrived. The view across to Ottawa and the Hill was better.
That last photo is so dreamy. Lovely series, William.ReplyDelete
I enjoy your night time photos and agree with Greensboro on that last one.ReplyDelete

@Lowell: I hadn't thought of it as a palace before!
@Beth: yes, that's the term.
A wonderful series William. I especially like the last shot, very nice and it sure looks cold.ReplyDelete
Wonderful to see these, William.ReplyDelete
That is certainly a grand hall. And love the atmospheric lighting in the last photo.ReplyDelete
Enough snow that it would have pretty much stymied today's Inauguration in D.C.ReplyDelete
You've got some people in some shots so you get an idea of the size of the gigantic great hall.ReplyDelete
@Bill: it was cold!ReplyDelete
@Gemma: it's a marvelous design, this museum.
@Revrunner: ah, if only!
@Red: it's quite a space, all told. It looks very different in the evening than when I've usually visited, in the daytime.
Nice shots of the Grand hall again, and a beautiful view over snowy Ottawa by night.ReplyDelete
