Today I start pretty much where I left off yesterday, with the approach from the west to the sunken garden area.
I took one more shot of the Dairy Barn, and then started along the road going north from here.
Along this road are a number of greenhouses, and one of them is open to the public to come in. It contains a number of tropical plants and cacti.
My last shot of the visit is near the north side of the Experimental Farm, where this particular building is situated. It is an observatory.
Nice greenhouse and observatory building! Should be an enjoyable walk.
ReplyDeleteUma bela estufa.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

I’ve enjoyed this visit to the farm!
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot plants from my part of the world in that greenhouse.
ReplyDeletei think having a greenhouse ...would be so so awesome!! think of the garden u could have in the winter or rainy months??! way cool! ( ;
ReplyDeleteThe greenhouse is a wonderful building with beautiful plants, but I think I love that observatory even more.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely greenhouse!
ReplyDeleteThe observatory is a well known location. Why an observatory on a farm?
ReplyDeleteI love the shape of the greenhouse -- and the glass. Quite lovely.
ReplyDelete@DJan: you're welcome.
ReplyDelete@Noke: thank you!
@Marie: I've enjoyed showing it.
@Sharon: yes, it's quite a collection.
@Beth: I was in there back during my visit on the Easter weekend. It was exceptionally warm compared to the outside, but this time the temperature outside was pretty much the same as inside.
@Jan: it's quite a structure.
@RedPat: most definitely.
@Red: the Dominion Observatory as it's known was built more than a century ago as part of the scientific research of the time. According to what I've found online, the telescope that was there is now at another location in the city, but the building itself is still used in a scientific capacity.
@Jeanie: so do I.
Now I'm wondering if this is the place that gives up the official dominion time signal?
DeleteWhile the Conservatory is nice I prefer the dairy barn.

ReplyDeleteThat dairy barn is something to behold. And the greenhouse is lovely. I wouldn't have expected to see an observatory in this setting. But it's cool, too. I think I like everything about this place.
