Having had successfully conned an onlooker into the ring, Bendy Em carried on with her act, doing a handstand and using that onlooker as the platform for it.
I noticed this very good dog nearby.
Bendy Em got a second onlooker into the act, doing another handstand high over their shoulders.
And then it was time for the finale of her act. She set up a glass box on a steel frame during the early proceedings I showed yesterday. She then tucks her entire frame into that box, and her helpers close it up. You try doing that.
All done, she leapt out and took a bow. The audience loved it. I've seen her do this act several times, and it still baffles me that she can get in there.
Afterwards, it's customary for the audience to pay the busker, something I did. Bendy Em's performance is a show stopper, and well worth it. Tomorrow we move onto a different subject matter.
Amazing. Nothing I could ever do!
ReplyDeleteBelos momentos fotográficos e aproveito para desejar uma boa semana.

I hope people were generous to her.
ReplyDeleteGives new meaning to being told to "get back in your box".
ReplyDeleteCan she also fold in a matchbox? :))
ReplyDeleteHello, looks like they attracted a nice sized crowd there. It is amazing at the things people can do, that box looks small. I like the pup! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDelete...how and why do people do this?
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what contortionists can get up to, tying themselves in knots, but really it just makes me squirm, I'd rather not watch it.
ReplyDeleteHow great! An experience that makes the whole crowd enjoy the performance, contributing to the awesomeness!
ReplyDelete@Iris: I can't!
ReplyDelete@Francisco: thanks!
@David: I was!
@Joan: indeed.

What fun!
ReplyDeleteBendy Em had a large audience and I can see why.
ReplyDeleteNot easy to earn a living. She must be very good!
ReplyDeleteI've seen a contortionist do that and find it amazing how they can bend to fit in a small box. Hard way to earn a living, I hope she tipped well.
ReplyDeleteThat glass box trick is something else. I can't begin to imagine how anyone can do that.
ReplyDelete@DJan: it is!
ReplyDelete@RedPat: very much so.
@Carol: thank you!
@Maywyn: it was!
@RedPat: she's talented.
@Nancy: she is!
@Sami: I imagine she did.

I would be in thousand pieces or an Ikea furniture if I would do that !
ReplyDeleteGood grief! How’d she do that?
DeleteShe is amazing!
ReplyDeleteIncredible, she is beyond anything I ever seen. Totally amazing!
ReplyDeleteI would die if Bendy Em picked me out of the audience!
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDelete@Gattina: me too!
ReplyDelete@Marie: lots of practice, and being triple limbed!
@Catalyst: that she is.
@Bill: very much so.
@Jeanie: that's why I stay in the back!
@Cloudia: definitely!
Amazing!!!

Good dog appears to be a Cairn terrier. Good chaps.
ReplyDeleteI think I remember that glass box from a previous post. It's still incredible.
ReplyDeleteThis performer, Bendy Em, and the ones included in your previous posts must have been quite fun to see. It’s always difficult to get good shots of street oerformers with the large crowds they attract, but these were fun to see.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I feel claustrophobic just thinking about that William 😁
ReplyDeletewonder how warm it was? that was a lot of people. hope everyone is nice? ( ;
ReplyDeleteAmazing...
ReplyDelete@Maria: very much so.
ReplyDelete@Joanne: I wondered what kind it was.
@Kay: yes, I've featured her act before.
@Beatrice: they are a blast to see in person.
@Grace: I know I couldn't do it!
@Beth: it was a fairly warm day.
@Italiafinlandia: definitely!
I like to think outside the box haha....Bendy is the perfect name for her!
