Dioramas And Displays

Large dioramas are set up throughout the Mammal Gallery, with a mix of taxidermied animals, recreated landscapes, and painted backgrounds. This first one includes a mountain lion and two cubs.


Here we have Arctic Hares.


Grizzly bears are featured here. A close eye might find hidden in the rocks at the base a little critter, a rodent.


Displayed here are beavers.


Display panels feature a wealth of information on mammals, organized thematically.

  7. I was on vacation in Jasper National Park when I saw my first grizzly bear in person. It was foraging by the side of the road.

  15. Once over 30 years ago, was able to watch some beavers swim and build a dam. I will never forget it.
