Wanderings Of A Canadian Loon Through The National Capital And Beyond
Yes, one of the TV veterinarian shows sometimes has a dog that got close to a porcupine. Some dogs do it more than once!
Caribou antlers are elegant and classy.
Such beautiful and elegant animals, William !Happy Sunday !
Hello,I would love to see the caribou in the wild. Another great exhibit. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day! Have a great new week ahead!
...I see plenty of skunks and porcupines, but never a caribou.
Lovely critters. I haven't seen our skunk in ages. Porcupine was on the trailcam, though!
Those dioramas are so well done, William. We went through the dog sprayed by a skunk experience once and I hope to never have a repeat!
Hello William, very pertinent diorama of the caribou. Ewgh, the skunk shouldn't be startled. Porcupines are hunted and bred for their quills in South Africa, Be safe and keep well. Jo
Three different ways of defence.

Beautiful artwork here.
Caribou cross the roads in Newfoundland regularly.
One of my dogs got sprayed by a skunk year ago and then came in to the house. That was the first time I ever smelled one and it wasn't pleasant.
Striking elk! I love the small animals too

Hopefully the dog learned its lesson!
I'd like to see a caribou in the wild, too.
