Carrying on where I left off yesterday, this view showed where I was heading. Some of the tulips were showing brightly, others were yet to come.
This views are of the largest stand-alone bed in the park, seen at the left of the path in the above shot.
Here we have tulips in a bed that's on a raised circle. In previous years display panels about the history of the festival and the liberation of the Netherlands have stood around part of this circle, but with Covid-19 this year, those panels were missing. One type of tulip in this bed was well underway, while the other was a few days behind.
The huge bed of 🌷 red tulips is stunning William.. such a clever planting system to make the display time longer ✨
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, I love all the colors and pretty tulips! Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend!
ReplyDelete...the red and yellow makes for a striking combination.
ReplyDeleteIt is rather nice that they don't all peak at the same time!
ReplyDeleteYou have found an awful lot of tulips.
ReplyDelete@Grace: it is.
ReplyDelete@Eileen: thanks!
@Tom: it does.
@Agnieszka: thanks.
@RedPat: it is, yes.
@Red: a whole lot.
There must be millions of tulips in Ottawa.
ReplyDeleteI loved the combination of pinks and yellows in one bed. And the red and yellows too! Impressionism in flowers!
ReplyDeleteA joy to see, also that people put in some thoughts to it.
ReplyDeleteNice shadow shot. And then the Flower Parade!
ReplyDeleteI bet in "normal" times, people come from all over to see the tulips.
ReplyDeleteLove it so much
ReplyDelete@Marie: more than a million, anyway.
ReplyDelete@Barbara: I like that too.
@Iris: definitely.
@Cloudia: thanks!
@Sharon: they do.
@R: thank you.
I just looked at the photos in this post and previous ones and WOW that is quite an impressive display and arrangement of colors. These days when the news is less uplifting, it's nice to see such beauty around.
ReplyDeleteVery much so.
DeleteI have heard that the tulip's blooming season is quite short. Do you know how long these last?
