Picking up where I left off yesterday with the zip lines in Jacques Cartier Park.
Something else that was going on while I was here- a tug of war.
I passed by these steel drummers. In the background is the frozen Ottawa River, with Ottawa on the far shore.
Along the side of the snow mound, a logo of Winterlude is embedded.
At the back, two large bas relief sculptures were carved into the snow- two beavers, the national symbol of the country. It has felt this year that national symbols have been making themselves known in snow and ice sculptures- perhaps a response to the nonsense coming these days towards us from south of the border?
Two more shots from around here. There are other activities beyond the mound.
Not to mention food options.
