As I recall, this particular visit was on Flag Day here in Canada, and the flag embedded in this ice was fitting for the occasion.
A new sculpture had been made as well, full of national symbolism.
And yet another new sculpture. In the foreground, the head of a beaver with a branch in its teeth. Behind, a vertical sculpture incorporating beavers and the Canadian landscape- including the nickel, which has a beaver on it.
And the ice hogs were posing in front of another fresh sculpture- an ice sculpture of an ice hog's head. Fitting.
I returned on the very last night of the festival.
The night shots looks nice enough. The unusual weather continues in my area. 15C last week. -7C today.
