The Last Light Of Dusk On The Bridge

A few days after my post from yesterday, I was looking out my window around sunset and noticed the quality of light in the sky. I headed out to the Bank Street Bridge hoping to catch the last light of the day over the Canal after the sun itself was down. I got there in time.

Coming down the north side of the bridge into the Glebe, I paused to take this shot of the Lansdowne Park development. As much as I dislike the project, it made for an interesting shot in this light.

This is the pond linked to the Canal as you can see in the first shots, but time was starting to run out on that light in the west.

Turning around, we take in a view of the bridge itself as a boat travels underneath.

And back on the bridge, this was the last of the light. Within five minutes, as I had returned over to the south side of the Canal to take shots of the bridge, the light was gone.
