While I was passing through the busy park, a trio of costumed people were attracting the attention of kids. They had the general look of porcupines- albeit with walking sticks or pouches. It was fun to watch them, and a bit of a challenge to photograph them.
They look a bit fearsome but the kids seem to like them.ReplyDelete
love those outfits, i was looking for Andy's Eye Candy blog ... i will keep looking, thanks for the heads up. ( :ReplyDelete
Children never seem to realize how cold it really is!ReplyDelete
At first glance, I thought this was Chewbacca!ReplyDelete
This makes a festival like winterlude a lot of fun. You get kids and everybody else in on the fun.ReplyDelete
@Lowell: some kids are wary!ReplyDelete
@Beth: I will post a link at your page in awhile.
@Janis: they don't!
@Norma: I can see that.
@Red: and it is so much fun.
Lol, thanks for the laugh!ReplyDelete
A challenging subject yes, but you conveyed the fun and wonder WilliamReplyDelete
Funny and bit scary!ReplyDelete
That's pretty funny.ReplyDelete
So much fun for everyone especially the kids.ReplyDelete
I am sure some kids would not want to go near them, they do look scary!ReplyDelete
Oh I thought they looked a little fearsome, but the children don't seem to be bothered :) So much going on here William, still getting a fair bit of snow there I see.ReplyDelete
Such fun photos! That costume look very warm :-)ReplyDelete
That must have been fun for the kids. At least they had a warm costume to wear.ReplyDelete
Ha, ha. That porcupine is the original punk hair fellow.ReplyDelete
@Ciel: you're welcome!ReplyDelete
@Cloudia: I try to avoid taking pics of kids, but in this case it couldn't be helped. The expressions of the children in the last shot makes it my favourite of these.
@VP: and the real porcupines are fun to watch, but scary if you get too close!
@Bill: the whole park is a lot of fun for children.
@Nancy: some kids can be wary of costumed mascots, I've found, as well as the stilt walkers I've shown previously.
@Grace: this morning we've had more snow as well.
@Tamago: I expect they are warm!
@Sharon: they did, yes!
@Pat: good way to describe them!
Weird! Haha :)ReplyDelete
Love that costume!ReplyDelete
Ah porcupines on ice....why not indeed...ReplyDelete
Nice shots , Bet the kids thought that was strange yet fun . Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !ReplyDelete
V-e-r-y spiky. :-)ReplyDelete
It is easy to see why they would attract attention.ReplyDelete
@RedPat: it was different.
@Geoff: why not!
@Country Gal: you're welcome.
@Mari: lots of kids find that fascinating.
I can understand the kids were excited :)ReplyDelete
Spring is not round the corner in Ottawa - still a lot of snow.
It looks like they have very interesting faces. (Your mention of "pouches" made me wonder if they are marsupials. They aren't.)ReplyDelete
Nice photos! Funny porcupine!ReplyDelete
I can imagine children like this. :-)ReplyDelete
So lovely happening.ReplyDelete
I love it!ReplyDelete
@Birgitta: winter lasts here.
@Kay: apparently not!
@Cheryl: thank you!
@Jennifer: I did too.
