Spring Blossoms In The Garden Of The Provinces

The Garden Of The Provinces is downtown, set between Library And Archives Canada and Wellington Street on the north, and two churches on the south side: St. Peter's Lutheran Church and Christ Church Cathedral. All three places will be part of Doors Open this weekend, and I plan on visiting them. Spring blossoms were in the trees here during the festival, as were tulips. The Garden is a combination of terraces, sculptures, and flower beds.

  2. That first tree is truly stunning. It must be wonderful in person. And the fountain looks lively, too. Throw in a few thousand tulips and you've really got some beautiful sights.

  27. I was hoping someone would have named that first pinkish tree but I don't see it. It looks a bit like a magnolia, but magnolias don't have flowering as dense as that. Whatever it is, it is a winner.

  28. @Cheryl: it is, yes. Though it was less pleasant weather yesterday when I stopped in this area!

    @Gemma: they are, yes.

    @Norma: me too.

    @Jack: I think the tree is either a cherry or crabapple tree.
