The Flower Beds And First Nations Monuments

Confederation Park saw tulips this year as well for the first time. Last year tulip bulbs were planted here after some landscaping changes. The bulbs are the new Canada 150 tulips, and they stand out nicely against spring tree blossoms, the Aboriginal Veterans Monument, a totem pole, and the Lord Elgin Hotel.

Today and tomorrow being Doors Open, I will likely be scarce, but will catch up after the weekend.

  9. The Canada 150 bulbs are so beautiful! The full garden of them really stands out. I hope to get some in the fall to plant in our garden. I hear they will only be available at Home Hardware stores. Have fun at the Doors Open weekend.

  12. @Kate: thank you!

    @Jennifer: it is quite enjoyable.

    @Pamela: yes, they'll be at the Home Hardware, so that's fairly easy for most Canadians to get to. The first part of the weekend's been fun, though we missed one building we meant to get to- they closed at two instead of four, so no luck there, but we went to several other places, with more to follow tomorrow.

    @Nancy: I do as well.

    @Sharon: it is, yes.

    @Noke: thanks!

  25. I truly think you live in a very blissful city. So clean and everything else for picture takes so masculine displaced be it Spring, Fall or winter.
