I do have some late in the season autumn shots coming up for the theme day and for a couple of days after that, but today ends this particular series before I move onto other things. These are taken on the same day, with similar perspectives to how I started yesterday's post, but some days later.
I passed by the Chateau Laurier and into Major's Hill Park, taking shots of the fall colours against the familiar landmarks here- as well as capturing another photographer who was also interested in fall colours.
Great colors and nice architecture! Very fine.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, clear, and colorful day! The fall colors really pop.
ReplyDeleteIt shows out you're a great photographer, because the photos you take are very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTomás.
Ottawa looks beautiful in the fall and you have plenty of sun to highlight the colours. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThose autumncolours are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, the grandeur of your city is stunning. Love all the colors and, as you know, that beautiful canal. No snow yet?
ReplyDelete@Linda: thanks!
ReplyDelete@Kay: it was a gorgeous day.
@Tomas: thank you!
@Bill: we had our share of sunshine.
@Marianne: they are.
@Lowell: it is actually snowing this morning.
Love the composition of the first few photos, the way the left side of the diagonal is busy and the right corner is sparse.

I like the 3rd and 4th shots of the canal where you were above the canals. The third one has the towers peaking over the bank bank which catches my eye.
ReplyDeleteThat last shot is particularly nicely framed.
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous, William! You should make that 2nd photo your header!!! :)
ReplyDeleteStunning photos! As much as I love autumn colors here, I love the striking blue of sky and water. Great views!
ReplyDeleteThe colours look so good against a blue sky.
ReplyDeleteThe colors in Ottawa are stunning.
ReplyDelete@Janis: thanks!
ReplyDelete@Red: ironically I've just noticed that the first shot is actually a match for match image with yesterday's photo. I could have sworn I'd taken two distinct shots.
@Sharon: thank you, that's what I was going for.
@Linda: it depends on how it looks with the title, but I'll keep it in mind for next fall. I choose a photo for the season from the previous year.
@Tamago: thanks!
@Jenny: they do.
@Stuart: this year they were.
These are fabulous shots, William!
ReplyDeleteDuring the storm we had today, I envied you for all those wonderful colours and the sunshine weather. Most of our autumn colours were blown out of the trees today.
ReplyDeleteWow! Gorgeous skies. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is still looking good up there.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and beautiful autumn sunlight.
ReplyDeleteA hymn to Autumn, William !
ReplyDelete@RedPat: thank you!
ReplyDelete@Jan: we lost most of our remaining ones in high winds around Remembrance Day.
@Revrunner: those were good skies.
@Jack: it looks different now. We've had snow falling for the last twenty four hours or more.
@Lois: thank you!
@Karl: definitely!
I love, love, love the colors!
ReplyDeleteSo do I.
DeleteThose colours are now gone...
ReplyDeleteAlas, they do not last.
