Autumn Scene

I do have some late in the season autumn shots coming up for the theme day and for a couple of days after that, but today ends this particular series before I move onto other things. These are taken on the same day, with similar perspectives to how I started yesterday's post, but some days later.

I passed by the Chateau Laurier and into Major's Hill Park, taking shots of the fall colours against the familiar landmarks here- as well as capturing another photographer who was also interested in fall colours.

  4. Ottawa looks beautiful in the fall and you have plenty of sun to highlight the colours. Very nice!

  6. Once again, the grandeur of your city is stunning. Love all the colors and, as you know, that beautiful canal. No snow yet?

  8. Love the composition of the first few photos, the way the left side of the diagonal is busy and the right corner is sparse.

  9. I like the 3rd and 4th shots of the canal where you were above the canals. The third one has the towers peaking over the bank bank which catches my eye.

  12. Stunning photos! As much as I love autumn colors here, I love the striking blue of sky and water. Great views!

  15. @Janis: thanks!

    @Red: ironically I've just noticed that the first shot is actually a match for match image with yesterday's photo. I could have sworn I'd taken two distinct shots.

    @Sharon: thank you, that's what I was going for.

    @Linda: it depends on how it looks with the title, but I'll keep it in mind for next fall. I choose a photo for the season from the previous year.

    @Tamago: thanks!

    @Jenny: they do.

    @Stuart: this year they were.

  17. During the storm we had today, I envied you for all those wonderful colours and the sunshine weather. Most of our autumn colours were blown out of the trees today.

  20. @RedPat: thank you!

    @Jan: we lost most of our remaining ones in high winds around Remembrance Day.

    @Revrunner: those were good skies.

    @Jack: it looks different now. We've had snow falling for the last twenty four hours or more.

    @Lois: thank you!

    @Karl: definitely!
