In one of the courtyards in the Byward Market, this very different sort of ice sculpture was carved as a bench for photo ops, with butterfly wings lit up at night. This was close to the main set of ice sculptures.
Today and for the next two posts, I start winding down the Winterlude series, with the ice sculptures lit up at night.
So beautiful with the light and interactive, too!

ReplyDeleteThe sparkling clear ice catches our attention.
ReplyDeleteI love the sparkle that's enhanced by the lighting, but it's still an experience to try to figure out what they represent with the transparency as well as surface shininess. Beautiful art forms, no matter what they might be!
ReplyDeleteThey transport me to a fantasy land. Beautiful! Tweeted!
ReplyDeleteSão uma maravilha.
