Here are some more angles on the ice sculptures, lit up at night. On the second weekend of Winterlude, sculptors from North America did carvings down the street. I'll show you those before we're done with the series.
I decided to work with a filter and render the above shot as a black and white.
And then I turned my attention to that mastodon.
Again, I edited one shot into a black and white version.
...being a color guy, I like these!
ReplyDeleteLike the dancer.
ReplyDeleteThey are very pretty with the colored lights, but the ballerina is definitely my favourite!
ReplyDeleteEsculturas muito interessantes.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.

I like the first part of this serie. The green is bit, eh ... green ... ;-)
ReplyDeleteThey look fantastic in those colourful lights.
ReplyDeleteThe smaller sculptures with pink light are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful iceworks! We use to have a little icefestival in my town here in Sweden. But we didn't get any winter this time (so far.... )so it was just one tiny little iceblock to watch. Thanks for showing your photos ♥
ReplyDeleteThe colors and sparkling shapes are lovely...my fav photo is the close up with pretty "stained glass" window in background.
ReplyDeleteThey do look better in color, but the monochrome pictures are interesting, too.
ReplyDeleteI have been away, just mentally, but I am glad to see more of your beautiful ice sculptures.
ReplyDeleteI like some of them better without the coloured lights!
ReplyDeleteSo much delicate work in such an unforgiving medium. It is really impressive to see.
ReplyDeleteI love the colored lights they shine on them.
ReplyDeleteThere's much to appreciate in these sculptures. You do very well with this by showing the different aspects of each carving.

ReplyDeleteI can say a mastodon on the lawn is now a life dream for me, right beside a lion sculpture.
